Boyd Waggoner

BOYD WAGGONER , COMPILER OF THE INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE

Boyd Waggoner, born and raised in Texas, is a lawyer who now lives on a ranch 60 miles Southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

He played football at SMU in the ‘50s, graduated from SMU Law School in 1962, and practiced law in Dallas for over 35 years. He moved to the ranch in 2000.

He has believed, for some time, of the sincerity of the Democratic Party when it claims to be interested in creating jobs, and creating an economy "from the bottom up" (since 2/3 of the economy is based on consumer spending), and he has been incredulous of the Republican Party’s "trickle down" theory that cutting taxes for the rich will cause a "trickle down" benefit to ordinary folks. The facts contained herein disprove the "trickle down" theory, and show that when the Democrats are running the show, and in the white house, jobs are always much more plentiful.

He believes that his communication skills as a jury trial lawyer for over 45 years can be helpful in communicating with many types of voters, especially working class voters.

He believes that visual aids (such as graphs, charts and photographs) are helpful in communicating information to voters as well as jurors, and that people are more inclined to believe what they SEE instead of what they HEAR. As "they say",

"A picture is worth a thousand words"

"Seeing is believing"

People are more inclined to believe what they see than what they hear. They know, instinctively, that, historically at least, it has been easier to deceive verbally than visually.

Mr. Waggoner has been

President of SMU Law Students Association

President of the Dallas Young Lawyers’ Association

President of the Dallas Trial Lawyers’ Association

Voted a Texas "Super Lawyer" several times, including 2008

Chairman of the Erath County Democratic Party.

Mr. Waggoner campaigned for Barack Obama for 8 days in the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary, and has contributed to the Obama campaign.
